Slip and Fall Involving Ice and Snow
The video below explains how an ice and snow slip and fall case may be successful.
Summary
If any lawsuit is difficult to win in Michigan it is one seeking damages for injuries sustained in an ice and snow slip and fall. These cases are very often dismissed before trial on the legal premise that ice and snow are open and obvious hazards.
It makes sense. As Michigan residents, we know that ice and snow are slippery. We know that to protect ourselves from injury, we should avoid walking on slippery surfaces. Of course, sometimes we cannot avoid walking across the ice and snow. Other times, the ice is not visible. In those limited circumstances, an ice and snow slip and fall case can be a winner.
Remember, a winning case will always involve either black ice (invisible ice) or an unavoidale hazard.
